The saga surrounding wide receiver Davante Adams is now over, as the star player was traded to the New York Jets on Tuesday.

This information was reported by NFL Network journalist Ian Rapoport.

The Las Vegas Raiders reportedly received a third-round pick in the 2025 draft in exchange for the 31-year-old footballer. However, this pick could turn into a second-round selection if Adams is named to the NFL First-Team All-Pro or if the Jets reach the AFC Championship game.

At the beginning of October, it was reported that the receiver had requested the Raiders to trade him to another NFL team. Adams was in his third season with the team, which had acquired him from the Green Bay Packers in a massive trade during the 2022 offseason.

With the Jets, Adams will reunite with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The two formed one of the league's most dominant duos with the Packers between 2014 and 2021.

The Fresno State product has been limited to just three games so far this season due to a hamstring injury. He has caught 18 passes for 209 yards and one touchdown in 2024.

Throughout his career, Adams has recorded 890 receptions for 10,990 yards and 96 touchdowns. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl six times and has earned a spot on the NFL First-Team All-Pro on three occasions.

Meanwhile, the Jets have a 2-4 record this season. The Big Apple organization dismissed head coach Robert Saleh last week. New York will return to action next Sunday with a visit to Pittsburgh for a matchup against the Steelers (4-2). It remains to be seen if Adams will be part of the lineup for this game.
